Salt Lake Design Week 2020

A Campaign to Invite All

At Enlisted, we were given the opportunity to do the branding campaign for SLDW in 2020. Each year, a different agency sponsors the event and contributes to the branding. As a multidisciplinary design studio split between graphic and industrial design, and in a small design community in Utah, we wanted to create a campaign that made it clear that SLDW was not limited to graphic designers, but open to all creators and makers.

Additionally, the logo for SLDW was passé and looked out-of-place. Even though it wasn’t in the scope of the project, we redesigned the logo, and the AIGA board loved it and decided to adopt it. This new logo was fully designed by me.

Overall, I was the lead designer on this in collaboration with one of our industrial designers, Jack Marple. We were limited to free fonts, and decided to use soft colors to contrast the harshness of the 3D shapes, and chose colors inspired by Utah’s amazing natural landscapes.
